Lazy Sunday

It has been an absolutely wonderful lazy Sunday here.  This is what the majority of my day has looked like:

This sweet boy has been snoozing all afternoon.  This is just one of his many many goofy sleeping positions.

And this there is this little cutie pie has been SNORING on my lap as I read blogs and peruse Pinterest.

We did manage to find some time to play outside (it was gorgeous outside this afternoon so we took advantage of it) and I ventured out to church.  I started cleaning the house.  But by the time I finished the kitchen, the laundry, the dusting, and organizing my shoes (ambitious I know but it HAD to be done) I was over it and decided to wait to do the floors until tomorrow.  Plus if I wait an extra day to clean them this week they will look better later on in the week, right?

I am about to plop myself down on the couch with a bag of popcorn and some clementines and watch the Golden Globes.  I love awards season!

What I'm Pinning Wednesday

So I have not exactly had a whole lot of time on my hands the past week to turn any of my pinspiration from last week into a reality (although I did get the supplies for my Valentine's Day wreath that I am going to make).  Between work and basketball--we are in the middle of a stretch that includes 7 games in 15 days--I feel like I barely have 30 mins at home to see Eric before we go to bed.  And cooking?  Forget it!  I have not cooked in weeks.  But luckily Eric completely understands--he coaches too--and I would not trade it for anything!  We did have a nice mini-date to Subway after I got home from our game last night.  Granted we ate in the car because it was 9:00pm and we were both starving, but it was time we spent together which made it worth it!

Despite my busy schedule, I managed to find some pinspiration to keep me going this week!

I am in love with this living room.  I love the stone mantle, the wood ceiling, the chandelier, the color scheme, EVERYTHING about it!

I would probably do laundry more often if I had a cute sign like this one to look at.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Why is it that I STAY cold on gloomy, rainy days?!?  It's nearly 60 outside, but I am fuh-reezing!  I guess it's because it look like it's about 19 degrees (ok so that's a stretch for Alabama but it looks like that to me).

On a much brighter note, the Alabama Crimson Tide won their 14th (or 8th depending on who you ask) National Championship last night!

They won it in pretty dominating fashion, too, 21-0! We headed to some friends' house to watch the game and dine on some wild hog and Eric's deer stew, which was actually quite tasty.  I am not a huge stew fan--I have always had issues with my food touching/being mixed together--but I would eat this one again. =).

We kept my BIL and FSIL's dog since they were @ the game and we soon learned that Hawk and Peanut have some jealousy issues when it comes to other dogs in the house.  Jr has been over before but never just him.

Case in point:  this is what happened when I pulled the quilt off the bed and went to get in bed.

Yes that is an 80lb dog on top of of our pillows.  And as soon as we got in the bed he laid ON TOP of us, no kidding.

Roll Tide!

We will be cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide tonight as they take on LSU in the BCS National Championship game tonight.  Here in Alabama, the only way you could avoid hearing people talk about this game is if you've been living under a rock. But I guess when one state has teams play for the National Championship 3 years in a row, it's impossible not to talk about it.  I am donning my red and white today in support of the Tide.

Lucky for me I am off cooking duty tonight since we have basketball practice (no worries it's a short one just til 5:30 so everyone can be home in time for kick off), so Eric is making Deer Stew. I am not quite sure how I feel about it, but the last time he made it (with duck...eeew) it made the house smell wonderful.  I am a little more comfortable less picky about eating deer meat so I will probably give it a try tonight.

So Roll Tide Roll!
