An Open Letter to the GCW

AKA the Gum Chewers of the World,

First let me start out by saying I am one of you.  I am a fan and a supporter of chewing gum.  I played basketball in high school and college and can probably count on one hand the number of practice and games that I played without a piece of gum in my mouth. I never go for a run without a piece, and it is my saving grace at 2pm on a workday or on long car trips when my eyelids start getting heavy.  Gum is a wonderful thing in my world.

This letter is specifically for the AGSO, the Anywhere Gum Spitter-Outers.   I get that once your gum has lost it's flavor and you would like to rid your mouth of it and you have to figure out how to dispose of it. Inside, some people stick it under a table or a desk (which is probably one of the most disgusting things ever).  I am tall and when I cross my legs under a table or desk my knee will be touching the table and sticking my knee in your gum makes me want to hurl.  Please stop doing that now. Outside, people throw it somewhere out of the way, like a bush for instance.  I'll admit, I used to be one of these people.  After every run I would throw my gum in some bushes along a fence because I figured it was out of the way and the chances of someone stepping in it were slim to none.  That all stopped one day when I was running and a huge chicken snake slithered out from said fence area where I had thrown dozens of pieces of gum.  That was 5 years ago, and I haven't thrown a piece of gum on a bush/fence since. I now have an irrational fear that if I throw my gum into a bush or by a fence that a snake will come out after me.  That day I became a member of the CGD Community, the Courteous Gum Disposers, or those people who properly dispose their gum, wither directly into a garbage container or into a piece of paper to throw in the garbage at later time.

There is one group of gum chewers in particular, however who I despise the most.  Those are the people who spit their gum on the ground on sidewalks and parking lots, specifically people who spit gum out right next to the driver's side door of my car on a hot day.  Not expecting to step in gum right next to my car, there's a good chance that I will do just that and not notice it until I am back at the office which means that not only do I have gum on the bottom of my brand new sandal that I was wearing for the first time, but I also have gum on my carpet floor mat in my car!  I am NOT a fan.

So to all of the people who like to spit their gum out in parking lots or busy sidewalks where chances of someone stepping in your gum and tracking it with them for the rest of the day.  I hope that snakes come chase you from where ever you spit your gum.

The End.

And have a nice day (but only if you're not an AGSO).

Friday's Letters

One of their favorite sniff spots!
Dear November, Welcome back!  Haven't seen you in a year!  I must admit you are one of my favorite months.  You have sooooo much to offer a girl:  Thanksgiving (probably my favorite holiday), the beginning of the Christmas season (which starts AFTER Thanksgiving of course), Black Friday shopping, the beginning of basketball season, sweater and boot weather (some days), etc....  They all make me Happy Happy Happy!

Dear Eric, I am so so so happy that our back porch is 99% complete.  We can really sit back and enjoy it now!  (It's not like we weren't already, but now we aren't focusing on what we still need to do).

Dear Puppy Dogs, Our semi-light outside walks look like they will be ending this weekend with Daylight Savings, and I am super sad about it.  We will still walk but you won't get to go sniff the furthest corners of the neighborhood because it will be too dark.  =(

Dear Basketball Girls, Y'all need to get yourselves together.  I would really just like to have one day that I don't get a call from our head coach with some new non-basketball-related issue we have to deal with.  It's seriously sucking the fun out of a sport I really love and it's starting to stress me out.  I don't like stress and try as hard as I can to delete it from my life.

Dear Halloween, Sorry (but not really) that you were pretty much non-existent this year at our house.  I am sad we took a year off from our yearly pumpkin carving contest, but overlapping coaching seasons means that we have exactly 2 nights where we're both home by 7 and pumpkin carving was the last thing on our minds this week.

Dear Parents who Drop their Kids off  to Trick-or Treat in Neighborhoods you aren't Familiar With (and drive them from house to house in the neighborhood), I am NOT a fan of you or your kids (esp when they aren't wearing costumes and don't say thank you).  I especially do not appreciate you speeding through my neighborhood looking for places to drop your kids off, and nearly hitting one of my dogs while we are walking.  I had some candy, but after that incident last night I was not turning the lights on our porch on to encourage more people like to you come to my neighborhood.  P.S. There were NO houses in my neighborhood with lights on last night....sad day.

Dear Weekend, I am so glad you made it this week!  I am ready for some football, relaxation, and fun!

Friday's Letters

Dear Warmer Weather, I am glad we've been able to have a little taste of you this week! And I am even more glad that because of my crazy schedule I was able to enjoy you a little bit this week.  I would not mind you sticking around this weekend so I can enjoy you at the river. =)

Dear Cavity, I am really sad that you decided to take up residency in my tooth.  I am not looking forward to having you fixed in a couple of weeks.....in my defense the dentist said there's nothing I could have done to prevent it; apparently I have really deep crevices in my molars. There goes my 25 year streak of no
cavities.

Dear Construction Zone Planners, I know I have a long commute, but I really feel like having to pass through 4 construction zones on my way to and from work each way is a little bit ridiculous, don't you?  I guess this is a lesson in patience for me....or just a really cruel joke.

Dear Candy Crush Level 133, I beat you. I BEAT YOU. I BEAT YOU!!! That is all.

Dear Eric, I am excited about the spring football game tonight!  I can't wait to see all of the hard work you guys have put in the last 3 weeks!

Dear Fishing Season, I am so over you.  Please end soon so I can have my hubby back.

Dear Little Puppy Dogs, I know I have said it before but y'all seriously crack me up on a daily basis.  Life would be so dull without your swimming/food bag eating/pinball doggie shenanigans!

Friday's Letters

We have a 4 alarm system at the Casa de Cagle this weekend  =)

Dear Friday, thank you for being so reliable.  You are right on time this week. I am looking forward to the last of our "unplanned" weekends. We've got lots of fun things coming up this spring!

Dear Eric, Thank you for buying me a new alarm clock after our dinner date last night.  You know you've been married for a minute when you get excited about a new alarm clock. P.S. have I mentioned how much I love my new laundry room?

Dear New Alarm Clock, I guess it would help if I set you so AM hours occur in the morning and the PM hours occur in the evenings. For once I was very thankful that Eric got up early to go fishing and woke me up.

Dear Eric, You should really consider getting up as early as I do every morning. It is so much easier to get up and get ready when I can turn on all of the lights and tv in the morning!  Or maybe we just need to install a tv in the bathroom....hmmmmmm

Dear Daylight Savings, I feel like I totally conquered you this week.  I was up on time every.single.day this week.  Take that!

Dear Hawk, Peanut, Hallow, and Ava (yes we have 4 dogs with us for the time being), it would be really great if you guys could refrain from destroying the house this weekend.

Dear Springtime, I think you are officially up on us as of today (just a few days early)! I cannot wait to enjoy the beautiful weekend you have in store for us!

Happy Friday!

Friday's Letters

Oh Friday, it's so nice to see you again!  Unlike last weekend, we have several plans this weekend that for sure include a wild game cookout (guess who's frying the fish), a dance competition, and the search for the perfect back door rug for the laundry room.  Wish me luck on that last one, because I think I might be the pickiest rug picker-outer this side of the Mississippi, maybe the whole country.

Let's get right to it shall we?

Dear Eric, I love love love love our laundry room makeover!  Thank you for being so handy.  I am glad you are such a go-getter when it comes to stuff like this because if it were up to me we would not have even started yet.  P.S. Thank you for putting up with my request to leave the door. I know you wanted to get rid of it, but I really like being able to shut the door while the washer is running. =)

Dear Hollow, It's time for you to be done with your remote chewing shenanigans.  You've eaten 4 in the last 3 weeks.  Although if your Dad could remember to put them up out of your reach when he leaves the house that would help tremendously.  Apparently my notes don't always solve the problem.  I thought we had a solution but you Dad says that you pulled it out of the vase yesterday.  I will be investing in a taller vase this afternoon.
Can you guess which remotes still work from this picture?  The note is right by the backdoor so he has not choice but to pass by it on his way out.

Dear Day Light Savings, Sayonara Sucka!  I am SOOOOOO glad that you are on your way out on Sunday.  Yes I will lose and hour of sleep and it will be dark when I get up in the morning for a few weeks, but it will be so worth it to have light after 6pm again!

Dear Peanut Butter, I heart you, but I think our love affair is a bit of an obsession for me.  I was cleaning out my desk drawer this week and found 3 nearly empty jars.  I think I need an intervention.

I don't discriminate between creamy and crunchy.

Dear Insanity, I know I said I was jumping back on the bandwagon when we got back from the mountains, but I don't really consider 2 days a week "back on the bandwagon." I promise I will do better this week!

Dear Puppy Dogs, I am so glad you guys are enjoying your daily walks. Honestly I am enjoying them as well.  I promise I will not try to wait more than 15 minutes after I get home to walk you guys again.  You made it abundantly clear that the walk happens right after I get home and get changed. Point Taken. You guys know I can't resist the excitement you guys have when I put on my tennis shoes because you KNOW what's about to happen. In our household shoes = walk.

Being sweet boys.  This is the opposite of how they act when the shoes go on.

Have a great weekend!

If you were really guessing which remotes in the picture still work the answer is the silver one and the black one right next to it, although the black one bit the dust yesterday.  It's the one that Eric says Hallow pulled out of the vase.  If in fact he actually did pull it out I am impressed, and I am also wondering if Eric stuck it all the way down in the vase....hmmmmm.

Friday's Letters

It's been a minute since I wrote some letters but I had some letter-worthy things to talk about today so here goes:

Dear February, It's so nice to see you.  I am a bit shocked at how quickly January went by, but I am perfectly A-O-Kay with it because that means only 20 days til my birthday! Whoop Whoop!

Dear Eric, I sure do love you!  Please don't disown me for putting this picture up! We had basketball practice in the wrestling gym yesterday (because they decided to take our over last night without telling us) and I found this gem of a picture in the trophy case......Eric's first wrestling State Championship!

Such a stud! He may be mean mugging but I am sure he was excited on the inside.
Dear Basketball Season, As time consuming and tiring as you are sometimes I absolutely adore you! It's hard to believe that the season is winding down so quickly.  It makes me sad that in a couple of weeks I will not be going to the gym every day for practice and games.

Dear Insanity, You're my newest favorite workout obsession. The only thing that is going to make the end of basketball easier is knowing I will be able to do your workouts every day instead of sporadically here and there. "sssssgooooooooooo!" ~ Shaun T (love him!)

This is me post Cardio Power and Resistance workout on Wednesday night.  Yes I am on the floor giving Shaun T the stink eye.
Dear Harbaugh Bowl, I mean Super Bowl, You kinda snuck up on me this year.  I guess not being extremely interested in either team (or the NFL in general)  will do that to ya. I think there's several good story lines to go along with it, hopefully some good commercials, and some delicious goodies to munch on, so of course I will be watching it!

Dear Mother Nature, I think you must be going through "the change."  If the weather this week is any indication I would say that is absolutely true. A high of 76 on Wednesday followed by a high of 46 on Friday is just insane.  Let's picks a season and stick with it for more than a few days.

Dear Little Monsters AKA our Puppy Dogs, Thank you for making me laugh daily. From Peanut burrowing in to the blankets so all you can see is a long mass of blanket moving across the floor, to Hawk barking like a sissy dog because he wants Hollow to play with him, to Hallow just being Hallow....Y'all know just what to do to always put me in a good mood.

Hollow letting me know I have disturbed his nap....under the covers.
I have another busy weekend of basketball ahead of me, and with the Super Bowl on Sunday I am going to need another weekend to recover from that.  I will surely be running on adrenaline for our area tournament next week!
Happy Friday!

Friday Letters

Crazy clouds on my way home yesterday

Dear Friday, You showed up right on time this week.  Now all that's standing between me and the weekend is a (hopefully uneventful) workday and basketball practice.   Let's do this.

Dear Eric,  I'm sorry you guys lost last night. As disappointed as I was that I could not go to the game since it was on a Thursday this week, I am excited to have a free Friday night to play!  I am not sure I remember how to play on a Friday since it's been so long since we've had a free one and we better enjoy it because we won't have another one until mid February....oh the life of coaches!

Dear Mom and Dad,  Things are finally falling into place with this move!  I can't wait to see the house!

Dear Work, You've been a little less than stellar this week.  I am not a fan.  Let's fix this next week, can we please?!

Dear Costume Contest at Work Next Week, You are JUST what I need to put a little fun back into my workday!

Dear Self, Please remember how much better we feel after a good night's sleep. We are a bit busier these days and that extra 45 mins to a hour of sleep a night is a necessity for us to make it through the day.

Dear Nick-at-Nite, Could you move your nighttime shows up and hour so I don't have to stay up past 10PM to watch Friends?  I cannot resist watching when it is on which results in me staying up later than I need to.

Dear Eric, You + Me + pumpkins = 5th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest  THIS WEEKEND.  BTW contrary to what you apparently think, I am winning the series 3-1.  I have the facebook picture votes to prove it!  P.S. Does anyone have any good pumpkin carving ideas?!

Friday Letters

Taken in the same spot @ about 6:35am each time.
Dear Eric, Did you really think that I was going to run some late evening errands last night and NOT stop at Dairy Queen for some ice cream?!  I thought you knew me better than that!   Good Luck tonight!  I am going to try my best to get to the game tonight. =)  P.S. I'm excited about our Trade Day date tomorrow morning!

Dear Fall, Have I mentioned how much I love you? This weekend is going to be so pretty and I can't wait!  I'm still slowly transitioning my boots (because our high temps are finally sub 80 degrees) into my wardrobe and that makes me happy!  I would not mind a little more chill in the air next week so that I can wear the super cute purple sweater I got at Loft yesterday (50% off sale prices = happy Betsy!).

Dear Mom and Dad, Good Luck with your house hunt today!  I hope you guys find something that you absolutely LOVE!  Oh, did I mention my parents are relocating back down south!?!?!

Dear Self, No more "fun" Pinterest Hair Experiments on work days for us. Even though putting our hair in a bunch of wet buns, sleeping in them and waking up with beautiful cascading curls SOUNDED like a great idea, it did not exactly come out the way we planned.  It ended up taking us twice as long to get ready this morning (thank goodness we happened to get up when the alarm went off this morning!) because the poodle look went out of style in the early 90's.  I could have been Fifi's the Poodle's twin. I was so horrified that I did not even stop to take a picture.  I sprayed my mane down, blow dried it and straightened it as fast as I could.  From now on any hair experiments will be attempted on the weekends when we do not have to be anywhere before 9AM the next morning. P.S. Your hair is not quite long enough for "cascading" curls, so let's just forget about those hair styles...m-kay?

via | via
Dear HS Bball girls, Can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this a drama-free year? Your coaches would really appreciate it.  This getting upset with each other and just not showing up stuff is not the way to handle your problems...lets talk it out so we can fix our issues.

Dear Dancers, Have I mentioned how precious y'all are?  You guys are soaking up everything that I have taught you and I can tell you go home and practice every week!  It really makes my super long Thursdays completely worth it!

Happy Friday!

Friday Letters

Dear Hawk and Peanut, You guys were absolutely precious with your ice cream last night. I am still in shock that your DAD suggested we get an extra ice cream cone for the two of you to share.  Nor can I believe he suggested we let the little monsters in the house for a little while last night.  I know you guys were not too happy which was evident when both of you tried to climb in my lap after I took them back outside.

Dear Fall, I am LOVING you being here!  I realize that in Alabama we're still in early fall which means instead of highs in the 90's with excessive humidity, we have 70's with lower humidity.  Not exactly boots and sweater weather (especially in the middle of the day), but it's nice to be able to spend long periods of time outside without melting.

Dear Dancers that I get to Teach this Year, Y'all are so much fun!  I am really really looking forward to my Thursday evenings when I get to teach you guys some tap dancing this year.

Dear Eric, I love that you insisted that we get an ice cream cone for Hawk and Peanut and that you insisted that we let the little monsters in to play for a little while last night.

It's Homecoming week, so our little town is in quite a frenzy!  I didn't graduate from THS, but I still enjoy the festivities and I can't WAIT for the game tonight!

Happy Friday!

Friday Letters

Hello there Friday.  We meet again.  I was a little concerned that you would take a while to get here earlier this week, but you sped things up toward the end of the week and now you're here!  Please stick around for a while.

Friday morning sunrise!
Dear Eric, I apologize for my nearly total lack of cooking this week.  There was just way too much going on.  Although I must admit that the one dinner I did whip up was quite delicious! Whoever decided to make a hot roast beef sandwich on a loaf of garlic/cheesy bread is a genius!
I can'd even begin to describe how good this was.  The original recipe called for a loaf of garlic bread and cheddar cheese, but all I had in the freezer was 5 cheese garlic bread with parmesan and mozzarella so I decided to stick with those cheeses to top it.  And yes we ate the entire thing.

Dear Pandora Radio, Thank you thank you thank you for FINALLY taking my advice and creating a SMASH Radio Station.  I think I started asking for one here and then again here.  It only took 7 months (but who's counting, besides me), but I guess better late than never...now how about a Sirius Satellite Radio Station? Maybe?!

Dear Dish Network, Thank you for for ending your dispute with Fox in our area this summer.  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to watch the Season Premier of GLEE last night.  It's been 2 years since I've been able to watch it and I missed it!

Dear Self, I came to the conclusion last night that we are officially old.  The greatest television sitcom ever created (in my humble opinion); the one I grew up on and learned a life lesson every episode is now on the nightly Nick at Nite line up. Yes that's right Full House.  (We'll overlook the fact that Full House ended about the same time that Friends started airing and it's been on Nick at Nite for a year now.)

Dear Mother Nature, Thank you for allowing the fallish weather to hang around this week.  Running outside has been 100% more enjoyable for me this week.  Hopefully my dates with the pavement will continue and I will be able to put the treadmill up until it's too cold/dark (boo end of daylight savings) to run outside.

Happy Friday!

Friday Letters

Dear Football Season, you're here you're here!  I am so excited!!!

via
Dear Eric, Good Luck tonight!  I can't wait to cheer you guys on!

Dear Hurricane Issac, As much as I would have liked to have a "Hurricane Day" off from work, I really appreciate you going west of us. Please continue to stay west of us so we don't get soaked at the football game tonight.

Dear Pinterest, Thank you for all of the yummy dinner recipes that I was able to use this week! You make my life so much easier.

Last night's dinner = Spicy Thai Noodles...DELICIOUS!
Dear Self, Congratulations on successfully executing Operation Cook Every Night This Week.  Wanna make it 2 weeks in a row?!

Dear HC Friends, I cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow and cheer on the Hawks!  Hawk 'Em!

Dear Montgomery Stores, I would really appreciate it if y'all could produce a pretty red necklace for me to wear to the game tomorrow.

Dear Person who Stole my Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge out of the Fridge at Work Yesterday, Seriously?! A tiny cheese wedge?  Did you even have anything to spread the cheese on? I hope you choked on it.

Friday Letters

Dear Friday, Thank you so much for coming fairly quickly this week.  You could have dragged things out and taken forever and a day to get here but you got you little booty here just in time.  Well done Friday, well done.  You get a gold star.

Dear Eric, Good Luck tonight at the scrimmage!  I wish it was closer so I could come watch but I guess listening to it on the couch with a glass of wine in hand will be the next best thing.

Dear Football Season, I am sooooo glad you are almost here!  I am stocking up on tailgate recipe ideas on pinterest!
I'm talking about you lil Corn Dog Muffins
Dear Cubie, You are sooooo getting cleaned today.  I am tired of looking at your mess, be prepared to be purged.

Dear House, Could you please clean yourself for once?  I don't think I can handle cleaning more than one area in a day. kthanks!

Dear Sleep, Why oh why have you been so elusive for me this week.  I have NEVER had issues with sleeping, but I have been up well past 11pm on 3 different nights this week and woke up at 2AM this morning for no reason.  Let's nip this in the bud now and go back to me falling asleep at a decent hour and sleep through the night.

Dear Mother Nature, Thank you for the fall-ish (by Alabama standards) weather that's been hanging around the last few days.  The mornings/evenings have been wonderful! Now if we could just get the mid-day highs down about 10-15 degrees it would be awesome.

Dear Blog, I apologize for the half-makeover state you've been in for the past couple of days.  Hopefully the house will get my message above and clean itself today so I can work on you tonight while I'm listening to the football game.

Friday's Letters

Happy Happy Friday!  I may have only been in the office 2 days this week but I am still soooooo glad that Friday has come again.  We had quite a whirlwind weekend last weekend (that I will be recapping soon, promise) so I am looking forward to chilling this weekend.  Here's a pic of Eric and I from this past weekend...can you guess what we did???? [Hint: Eric wears dress pants and ties for only one type of occasion].

Now on to my letters for the week:

Dear Eric, I know football technically got started in June and has been ongoing for a good 2 months but it is REALLY getting started today with Tiger Night tonight!  I know you are excited (even if you like to play it cool and act like it's NBD--I know you better than that).

Dear Football Season, Now that the Olympics are over and am REALLY REALLY excited for you to be here!  I have all of the important schedules (THS and Huntingdon College of course!) on my calendar with games we will be attending marked, as well as my SEC and BIG 10 Helmet Schedules on my cabinet.  I am ready to roll!

Dear Flower Beds, You guys are looking fantastic! Keep growing little flowers!  I promise I will take good care of you so you can stay pretty!

Dear Mom, Thanks for helping me get my flower beds looking so pretty!  I had sooooooo much fun when you and Dad were down last weekend.  I am soooo looking forward to these visits being more frequent when y'all get back down south!

Dear Dad, Ditto (see Mom's letter above--except for the flower bed thing, although you did a fabulous job moving my azalea and my day lilies).  I hope you had a fabulous first week back down south!  I'm so proud of you! P.S. You may get a drop in visit from your only favorite daughter when you least expect it!  I can do that now that you're a car ride away! Muahaha!

Dear Guest Bathroom, I have decided that you may a new coat of paint in the next few weeks.  I am completely over the eggshell that I have been slowly removing from our house over the past 2.5 years....I am thinking some shade of blue, k?

Dear Peanut, If I catch you eating out of Hawk's bowl one more time I am going to have to take action.  You are on a diet and it will not work unless you stop snacking chunky monkey!

Dear Hawk, I am sorry your leg seems to be hurting.  I don't like it when you are mopey.  I make sure you get extra puppy treats and car rides (and I might even share my ice cream with you) this weekend to make you feel better!

Dear Self, We need to get our road rage back under control.  We lost it not once, but twice yesterday.  It is not good for your husband to think you are a lunatic who yells at cars in the parking deck....Let's do better today, k?

Pick me up Mom! I wanna snuggle with you on the couch!
Happy Friday!

Friday Letters

Dear Eric, It was so nice to have you home in the evenings this week. (just in time for us to celebrate our Anniversary!)  I know it was short-lived with actual football practice starting up next week.  I can't wait until we're both home in the evenings again....which should happen some time in mid-February when my basketball season is over.

Dear Team USA, Way to go!  Keep up all of your hard work!  I am super stoked about track and field getting started today!

Dear Olympics, you are really putting a damper on my sleeping habits.  I ended up having to take a nap when I got home from work on Weds....a nap!  I am not a napper since college. and I was still tired that night. We actually turned you off last night so we could get some sleep (after we saw Gabby Douglas win gold of course!).

Dear News Outlets, please use spoiler alerts when you are reporting on the Olympics.  I really do want to be surprised when I get to watch the prime-time coverage in the evenings. I don't appreciate seeing the winners faces/names plastered all over your homepages before I get to watch it!

Dear Eric, I love that every night this week you've told me you were NOT going to watch Olympics on tv and every night you HAVE stayed up late watching Olympics with me.  I know that you really love watching it. =)

Dear Hawk and Peanut, I did not think it was possible, but I found something that you guys like to eat as much as peanut butter, and no it's not meat!  It's clementines, but only if I bite them first so you guys can taste the juice (otherwise you spit them back out).

Dear Tax-Free Shopping Weekend, It's so nice of you to come back around this year! I will be stopping by several of my favorite stores at some point this weekend.

Dear Mom and Dad, I can't wait to see you guys next week!

Friday Letters

Dear Eric, I hope that one day our crazy schedule will slow down.....maybe that will happen when we're 80? I am so ready for some R & R next week!

Dear LBC Softball Team, It's Tournament Time!  I am pumped about this lil tournament we're playing in this weekend! Let's get it!

Dear Mother Nature, I checked the weather this morning to see how hot it was going to be this weekend for our softball tournament this weekend and I'll be honest, I almost cried:

Seriously?  100+ temps all weekend, not to mention the at least 50% humidity that will accompany those temps. I am pretty sure they moved the tournament up a month because it was so stinking hot last summer when we play it the last weekend in July, I guess the joke is on us.  Guess we'll have to bring massive water jugs and hope that we can run-rule a few games so we don't have to stay out in the sun for too long.

Dear Hawk and Peanut, I know you guys want to go on walks as soon as I get home, but it is too stinking hot!  I promise you guys won't make it halfway around the neighborhood.  I hope the pool time yesterday made up for it!

Dear Family, Just a few more days!  I can't wait to see you all!

Happy Friday!
