In January lost our sweet Cricket girl, and so we brought our Hollow man inside and he became one of the boys. We also celebrated Eric's last birthday in his 20s!
In February, I finished off another basketball season, celebrated my 28th birthday, and we spent a few days in Sugar Mountain, NC snowboarding with friends.

In April we got to spend a couple of weekends with football friends for a wedding and for the first Annual HC Football Reunion Weekend.
In May I jetted to the frozen tundra (seriously it snowed...in May) to watch that brother of mine graduate from college and see the place that he called home for 4.5 years and spend an amazing weekend with family. We kicked off the summer with a Memorial Day Fish Fry with Eric's Aunt and Uncle.

Since we hadn't had enough beach time yet (haha) we went back to Orange Beach for the 4th of July and helped my BIL and SIL break in their newly renovated house and celebrated 3 years of being married on the 31st.
We kicked off August with a trip to Memphis to visit my finally completely moved parents. We celebrated Hollow's one year Gotcha Day, as well as Hawk's 6th Birthday. We headed up to Memphis again at the end of the month for my 10 Year High School Reunion and I got to see one of my oldest BFFs, but we didn't get to stay long because I had to hurry home so I could catch a plane to Los Angeles for a work conference. And just because we wanted to make August the busiest month ever we screened in our carport...in one weekend.

October was a month of new beginnings. I started a new position at work, started teaching 2 tap classes, and kicked off my 3rd season as a basketball coach at THS. We did carve out a little time to take in an Auburn Game....the last time we went was the year they won the National Championship....could it happen again?!
In November my life was consumed with basketball as my game season began just as Eric's football season ended. I got to play in my college alumni basketball game again, and at the end of the month hosted Thanksgiving at our home for both of our families.
| So glad they got to come! |
Until I sat down to write this I didn't think we had done a whole lot in 2013, but I am clearly mistaken! This was a crazy busy year! It was a truly wonderful year and putting it all together makes me realize how truly blessed we are. It also makes me glad that I keep this little blog going so I can look back on all of the wonderful things we've done. I cannot wait to see what 2014 holds for us, but after glancing at my calendar it looks like it's going to be amazing!]
Happy New Year!
