1st Anniversary Weekend

Whew what a weekend!  We got back from our trip to Maine late Monday night. The rest of the week just flew by and before we knew it the weekend had started.  It started out with the softball team we played with earlier this summer playing in a tournament on Friday and Saturday.  We figured we'd play 3 or 4 games, be done by 1 on Saturday and then go about our business.   5 games and a rain delay we found ourselves playing in the Championship game.  We lost the Championship game to a team that was clearly better than us, but we had great time!  However, we paid for it on Sunday.  I don't think I have ever had this many sore muscles at one time. The muscles in my hands even hurt!  Apparently my limit on playing softball games in a 24 hour period is 6.....

There was no slowing down for us on Sunday, as we celebrated our first wedding anniversary!  I can't believe it already been a year.  I guess time flies when you are having fun!  Since we just got back from Maine we decided to keep things low-key.  We spent a wonderful lazy Sunday afternoon around the house (mainly because we were both too sore to do much else), and then we headed to Montgomery for dinner.  Of course we settled on our favorite restaurant, Bonefish Grill, for dinner and it was fabulous as always.  We also managed to make a stop at Academy where we snagged a table and chair set for the pool on clearance for $60!  Happy Anniversary to us!

Of course we topped off the night with a slice of our wedding cake.  We were shocked that it tasted pretty good.  Maybe it was because we were expecting it to be terrible?  Eric even added one candle to celebrate one year...he's so thoughtful isn't he?

It's not as appealing as it was the first time around, but it was still tasty!
