Weekend-O-Fun in the Sun

Eric HAD to go to the beach this weekend to fix his bro's ice makers because they were both broken and the boys have a big fishing trip coming up so they would need the ice.  I had a basketball cookout to go to on Saturday so I decided I would skip this beach trip.  It's sad, but true.  However I was bound and determined to take advantage of the beautiful weather we had and decided to plant my behind by the pool as much as possible.

On my way to the bball cookout.  Eric took my car to the beach so I was Jeep-in it all weekend!  I did not want my hair to get messed up on the way to the cookout so I opted to wear Eric's coaching hat....cute right?

I'd say I was pretty successful.  I did not end up at our pool on Saturday but I sat with the neighbors by their pool while Hawk and Peanut played in their yard.  I am not sure who had more fun playing fetch....Hawk or their 2 year old.  She adores Hawk, even though he is twice her size.  I bet she threw his ball for an hour straight.  It was precious.

This little monster decided he wanted to sit on my chair when I put my towel out and jumped into my chair.

He played hard all day and slept like a rock when we finally came inside.

Sunday after I got home from church I decided I needed to clean out my craft closet/room.....dun dun duuuuun..... It was quite the task and ended up taking about 4 hours.  But it's done and I can close the closet door now which I consider a total win for me!  I was spent by the time I got done so I decided it was time to head back outside to the pool with the puppies......they did not object. I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon--except to maybe have Eric out there with us =).

My mom sends giant bones to the puppy dogs from time to time.  They love them but they are super messy so I only let them chew on outside, usually when we're at the pool.

Hawk loves to sit on the steps and let his ball float just out of reach so he has to swim to get it. The only time it is a problem is when the pool pump is on and the ball gets sucked  into the skimmer. He will sit and watch it like it's going to come back out for a few mins, and then he goes an scratches on the skimmer lid so I have to get up and get the ball for him.  We did this about 5 times on Sunday until I got fed up and turned the pool pump off!

Pool colored toes for a day at the pool!
